In-House Catheter Tipping Dies

At ONEX RF, we not only build catheter tip-forming machines for the Catheter Manufacturing Industry, but also design and manufacture catheter tip-forming (tipping) dies.

ONEX RF Inc., in Duarte, California, is a vertically integrated company specializing in the design and manufacturing of RF catheter tip-forming machines and tipping dies. Our team of dedicated engineers and toolmakers works hand in hand to design and manufacture molds and machines under one roof, all in-house. We often have local and out-of-state customers visit our operations to work with our engineers to design and meet application requirements, and to control the exact tolerances required to form a perfect tip every time, especially when working with complex materials.

Once in a while, when under a time crunch, we may reach out to our partner companies for help, but 99% of the time, we make everything at ONEX RF, guaranteeing the required tolerance and mold material consistency. One may not realize that a slight change in material properties during the die-making process can affect the validated tip-forming process, leading to variations in machine performance.
Plus the lead time, which is the number one requirement of almost all our customers: to receive the dies as quickly as possible to prove the results of their newly designed catheters or to resume production.

This is where ONEX RF excels: delivering catheter-forming dies in a 2-3 week period. Without third-party delays nor issues with material compatibility or property variations.

After manufacturing each die, our RF engineers take their time to craft the perfect induction coil and tune it to the highest possible accuracy for each and every catheter tip-forming application. After every tuning process, all the data is recorded and archived for future orders to match spare and spare coils from our customers.  This ensures process consistency and repeatability throughout the catheter manufacturing process for many years to come, especially when reordering replacement dies and coils.

No back-and-forth. No adjustments needed on the machine-validated process parameters.

If you need a catheter tip-forming machine that is well-tuned and uses properly manufactured dies and coils, talk to ONEX RF. We will analyze your requirements, design the dies, and deliver a turnkey system within 5-6 weeks. We can start making samples for your review and approval within 3-4 weeks, so you don't spend a dime on the machine until everything works. We'll help you define the process parameters early on, reducing time in DOE and process validation.

Just share a catheter design with material specs or a sample-tipped catheter—we’ll take it from there.
