Customer Requirement:

Customer was using an older system and the results varied from operator to operator.

They needed to precisely locate the parts inside the heat section to control the heat zone when bonding the 2 ends of the shaft with consistent process control.

ONEX RF Solution:

We developed a station that would allow us to place the product in the jaws and view the positioning on the screen. Once the product was clamped, it would transfer the assembly into the heating box and heat it using RF Induction while a secondary cylinder would apply light force to get consistent bond.

We provided the following system:

  • BJW-807-LX1 butt joint weld system with hollow RF heat chamber.
  • Helped the customer with process development and validation.
