Common Problems & Limitations 

When using a loose die design, where only the mold is changed the coil remains the same, we are faced with the following challenges: 

  • Precise positioning of the coil over the die to control the heating zone
  • fluctuating the process parameters to get good results
  • Constant adjustment of hard stop position to prevent flush or voids

By annalyzing the challenges we noticed a simple missing element which is a closed loop feedback.  By implementing simple monitoring methodes in the mechanical adjustmnet and RF energy or temperature we can eliminate or minimize the process variations.
