Customer was using a new formulation material and could not use his RF sealers because the seal integrity was not consistent due to lack of pressure control and RF process control.
ONEX RF Solution:
We analyzed the process requirements and developed a dual shuttle RF welder with an electric servo press and ONEX solid-state RF amplifier.
The sealing process was very sensitive because we could not apply too much pressure because material would break and too much power would collapse the material. In the end, we were able to match the speed of material melting and gradually applying the pressure to have a perfect seal every cycle, achieving consistent seal thickness and weld integrity.
